Philharmonic Announces Its 2005-6 Season

The New York Philharmonic's 2005-6 season, which the orchestra announced yesterday, is to include world premieres of commissioned works by John Harbison and Peter Lieberson, a season-long celebration of the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth and the introduction of two new series of 75-minute performances in which contemporary and standard works are explained.
