Harvard infectious disease specialist honored

Dr. Paul Farmer, a Harvard Medical School anthropologist and infectious disease specialist, has been named the recipient of this year's Lois Pope LIFE International Achievement Award. The honor, which comes with a $100,000 research award, is presented annually by the Lois Pope LIFE Foundation at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
